My Braces --

I remember the first day I had my braces put on, and I remember the way I felt when I got them removed, but better yet I will never forget what my grandmother said when she saw my new smile for the first time. It was great! She told me I looked stunning and smart.

To me the experience was almost surreal. I sat in the front seat of my car after the appointment and just starred into the rear-view mirror, I felt many things all at once. For twenty years I felt a little uneasy about smiling around people I had just met, I felt uncomfortable applying for jobs, I felt unsure of myself when speaking. Don’t get me wrong—I was confident, but not like this. The new smile I gazed at in the mirror was absolutely worth the time, patience, expenses, everything.

Today I think back to the smile I had and it makes me feel accomplished knowing I took matters into my own hands and met my Doctor, Timothy McReath, who introduced me to the Damon System, a new and innovative, fast paced approach to braces, and the technology behind them. Many people think of braces like they were years ago: a lot of pain, frequent tightenings, headgear, years in treatment, etc. But my experiences were completely different and I couldn’t be more pleased with the way things turned out.

When I won Miss Seventeen, (a televised role-model competition on MTV) the first thing I said was, “This is for all the girls who have braces.” And, I meant that. It’s wonderful to live in the moment and be proud if you have braces, because you’re doing something good for yourself. It’s even more fun to think about the future and know you’re well on your way to new healthy and brilliant smile.

If you are interested in getting braces, no matter your age or the amount of work you need done, consider the Damon System and speak with your orthodontist. I promise you will enjoy the process!

Good luck! Thanks for stopping by.
Jen!
